I’m writing this from Kathmandu where I’m working this week, and I’m looking in the vague direction of Everest, though I can’t see it as the city is cloaked in a smoggy blanket. It’s a kind of surreal metaphor for the year ahead: I know there are mountains to climb, views to behold, challenges to face, but I don’t quite know when and where they’ll come.
2012 brought a massive change for me, for work, for life… Among many things, including turning 4-0, I took a leap of faith and with my wife we launched a new, big project – the conscious project. The conscious project is about improving the quality of our thinking, whether we are single, in partnership, in an organisation or elsewhere! And it’s about bringing together thinking people, conscious people, who want to change the world.
We’re set up along the lines of a social enterprise and as well as giving away what we do, organisations and individuals come to us for consultancy services, coaching, mentoring and facilitation. We know that when we do our best thinking, we create the foundation for our best work.
As the path ahead emerges, with all its twists and turns, we’ll have some stories to share. So once again, my resolve to blog a little more often is sharpened!
